Privacy Policy

In short

There is no account, no advertising and no analytics. One feature sends data off your device: the sign translator. This page explains exactly what it sends and what it does not.

Translating a photo

When you take or choose a photo and tap analyse, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic's Claude API, which reads the characters and returns a translation. That is the only time the app talks to a server. We do not keep a copy of your photo, and the app does not save it. Anthropic processes it to produce the answer under their API terms.

What stays on your device

The language you chose. That is all. Photos you take in the app are not gathered by us, and deleting the app removes everything it kept.

What the app never does

It does not create an account or ask for your email. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It shows no ads. It does not read your contacts, location or calendar.

Camera and photo access

The app asks for camera and photo access only so you can pick the picture you want translated. It never opens either on its own.

A word of care

Whatever is in the photo you choose is sent for reading. Please avoid photographing people, documents or anything private that you would not want processed.

This website

Static pages, no cookies, no tracking scripts. The host keeps ordinary server logs for security and traffic counting.

Children

The guide is suitable for all ages. Nothing is collected about anyone, children included.

Changes

If the app ever starts collecting something, this page will say so before that version ships.
