Pay at the register, not the table
Most restaurants expect you to bring your bill to the counter near the door. Servers rarely bring change to the table.
Do's
- Look for the bill (denpyou) left on your table
- Bring it to the register when you're ready to leave

- Don't wait for a server to settle the bill at the table
- Don't leave without paying first
