Where do you put a suitcase on a Japanese train?
On the shinkansen, the overhead shelf takes a cabin bag and the space behind the last row takes a large case — on some lines that space must be reserved. On a local train at rush hour there is nowhere to put it, so use a coin locker or send the case ahead instead of blocking a door with it.
